April 30, 2020 – Updates – We are Essential and Open for You!

Medcessiteans’ Updates – We are Essential and Open for You!
Just Out:

  • Governor Newsom and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) have stated that elective procedures and non-urgent services may resume.
  • Long Beach’s Safer at Home Order did not address deferral of elective surgeries or preventive medical services, so City Officer notification or approval is not necessary to resume services.

We are Happy and Ready to accommodate anybody who can finally have that orthopedic surgery that had been delayed due to Covid19.

If staying at home has flared up your pain, come in and let us help ease it!

And for those at high risk, Telehealth has been a blessing and so helpful.   If you are in pain, call us, meet live with your therapist over a secure video stream online.  Let us guide you out of pain.

Yours and our staff’s health is our priority.  Medcessity is taking great care to meet the considerations and guidelines put forth in the CDPH Resuming California’s Deferred and Preventive Health Care document, including

  • Having your temperature read.
  • Requiring that you wear a mask.
  • We are taking extra care to disinfect after each patient
  • Our staff is also required to wear a mask or shield, and to wash/sanitize their hands between all patients.
  • Appointments are limited as we strive to maintain social distancing, so call soon to secure an appointment.

Please contact us at 562-428-3556 and we can get started right away.

And remember, be safe and stay strong!

Medcessity – Covid19 – Update 4-20-2020

Dear Medcessitean,

We hope that you are all doing well and staying safe during this time of Covid19.

We are excited to say that we have been conducting TeleRehab with great success. During a TeleRehab session, you see and interact with your PT or OT, live via interactive online video communication, like Facetime or Skype.  In order to receive TeleRehab, you will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet access and a web camera. Our staff will go over the requirements again upon scheduling.

After completing a thorough cleaning and repainting most of the clinic, we are happy to announce that in-person sessions have resumed!

Yours and our staff’s health is our priority.  For in-person sessions, at the clinic, you may be subject to having your temperature read.  You will be required to have a mask and gloves. We are taking extra care to disinfect after each patient, and our staff is required to wash their hands between patients routinely.  Appointments are limited as we strive to maintain social distancing, so call soon to secure an appointment.

Please contact us at 562-428-3556 and we can get started right away.

We look forward to being your choice for therapy once more!

Remember PT is essential!

Medcessity – Covid19 – Updates: 4/8/2020

Hi Everyone,

We hope that you are all doing well and staying safe during this time of Coronavirus.

We spent the last few weeks performing a deep cleaning of the clinic and preparing for patient care in this new environment.

We will be re-opening the clinic initially on a Telehealth basis. Telehealth is a form of receiving PT and OT treatment by interactive video communication like Facetime or Skype.

We will be resuming in-person appointment sessions soon but would like to touch base with you via video conferencing to get you started.

In order to receive Telehealth, you will need to access a smartphone, tablet,  or computer with internet access and a web camera. Our staff will go over the requirements again upon scheduling.

Please contact us at 562-428-3556 and we can get started right away.

We look forward to being your choice for therapy!
